Or you could do a photo box, there are some really pretty ones out there. You could put photos in it along with other little things like a small piece of tile from your kitchen or swatches of fabric or other things from your new home

Another suggestion along the same line as the picture box. Keep all your pictures, swatches, etc together until the house is complete and you move in and then use one of the online album makers and make your own.
