I am not at work (school holidays), though I should have been doing school work this afternoon. Am surfing instead of working at home, so does that count!? Have been shopping this morning...when in was raining (see got the weather in)...bought myself a new jumper and a Freddie Ljunberg calendar (footie player in England) so I can perv over him everyday of 2007 :D . Have night in on my own planned for this eve, lying on sofa, watching the soaps, with bottle of wine! So even though I do have wedding to plan for....my life is no more exciting than yours!!

not really...i have no idea what a good price is on tuxes...so far most of them have been about $100 each or so...is that a good price????? i just found one place that said that they dont have and "specials" for only 5 tuxes but if i come in and register with them that they will give me Grooms tux 1/2 off and all the rest of the for $80 (includes all- shoes, vest, tie, tax, everything) i dont think that is too bad of a deal is it?

durham....tuxes usually are around $100 but most good places should give you a deal like if you rent so many tuxes the grooms one is free.... so i would keep asking around...it doesn't hurt to...
everyone else having fun surfing....it is so slow in the clinic today....well we did get some good news....aerosmith is comming to town for a concert on nov 16th and they have asked our clinic (massage therpist and chiropractor) to treat them so i could be back stage with aerosmith.....we are not allowed to get photos or ask for autographs though....poop!!! who would believe me then....
oh well i would get to personally meet the band though....how cool is that.....:D :D :D :D
k gotta catch up on all the new post i missed over lunch..
what are all you girls up to....

We flew to Toronto (obviously went to Niagra Falls) then Ottawa, somewhere in the mountains, then Quebec City (which was my fave), went whale watching...absolutely freezing....and finally Monteal.
When we were inbetween Ottawa & Quebec city we went to a really fab wildlife park where we got to see racoons, buffalo, bears etc etc...AND Moose.....I adore them, they are soooooo cute. (can't you tell the wildlife in England is V.dull!!!!)
rickythomas
10-25-2005, 09:07 PM
wild life in england must be non-existant if you think moose are cute....we eat them here.....sorry but we do....and even bear sometimes....
moose look cool but they are very dangerous on the roads and such....but they are tastey....lol...sorry for those of you who don't eat meat....:(
sounds like you got to see a lot....what did you like about montreal the best.....my best friend grew up there....

I wasn't really a fan of Montreal....the shops were good....but it was my least favourite of all the places I went.
It's one of the best holidays i have been on....and yes Englands wildlife is v.v.v.dull....we get sparrows (boring brown bird), foxes and badgers and thats about it.....give me a moose (not to eat) anyday!!!!

we don't eat all of our wild animals:p:eek: ....i grew up in the country where the wild life was food though....
i grew up on a dairy farm with lots of animals....right now my husband and i have 4 cats, baby, lilly, emily and simon, horses, jack and spirit and a bata fish....no name for him though because every time we get one the cats eat it...bad kitty...
i have seen all sorts of wild life but you have pics of ones even i haven't seen ...i will get to those mountians someday to see more....lol...
so what was your fav thing about canada....besides the wild life?
karenswain
10-26-2005, 12:43 PM
The scenery was great...never seen so many trees in all my life....tree after tree after tree!....Niagra falls was amazing and loved going on the maid of the mist thing....there was a little place near there, Niagra on the lake which, was really gorgeous too.
The weather was just like England, it rained alot whilst we were over there, but that was fine with me I hate it when its really hot...i would love to go over to canada in the winter, when it snowy....we don't get much snow over here these days.
If I lived on a farm I don't think I could eat the animals, i'm not vege, but I would probably have names for them all and would think of them as my pets!!!
At the mo we have 2 pets (if it was up to FH though we wouldn't have any) a guinea pig called black bob and a one eyed fancy tailed goldfish...we didn't know he only had one eye until after we had bought him...he did have 3 other fish with him but he ate them all...perhaps he was jealous that they had 2 eyes!!!!?

i did have names for all my animals.....lol...but we still had to eat them...mom and dad's orders....there were a few times when i just couldn't bring myself to though...
sucks that you didn't get good weather while you were here...when it is not too hot it is great...you would have been able to see much more ....
my husband is very sweet and loves animals too so we both can't wait to get a place out of the city so we can get more horses and cats and dogs....we both love furry animals....well not skunks....although my dad had a pet skunk that had its stinky thing removed and he said they were so loyal and affectionate....like a cross between a cat and a dog...
could you imagine how funny that would be if people didn't know you had a pet skunk and in it walks to your house and jumps on your knee....lol....
talk about scareing them to death...
karenswain
10-26-2005, 01:26 PM
It would jump on your knee?!.....yep....very scary  ! Tanya's FH & his dad have pet roosters...I wonder if they would jump on your knee too...he he....that would really freak me out   ...i'm not a huge fan of birds! I would love loads of animals too, but they take far too much looking after!
