We went away to Pine Mt, GA (just a few hours away from us) for NYE night to celebrate the one year anniversary of our first date.
We'd discussed marriage. I knew it'd be soon. I hoped it would be NYE night.
Midnight rolled around. I made a sly comment about my horoscope saying something special was gonna happen.
Nothing.
I fell asleep slightly disappointed.
The joke was on me.
The next morning as we left, we drove past this place I had mentioned before to him that was my favorite look-out spot. He'd told me we'd stop by for the view before leaving town. I seriously, for once, didn't think ANYTHING of it.
We snapped a few pics, enjoyed the view, and then out of nowhere, he says, 'There's something I want to ask you'
Down he goes on one knee all traditional-like and spouts off the traditional proposal.
It's dangerous to be so dizzy on top of a mountain :p
I stammered.
I couldn't say anything.
My poor guy kinda panic'd, because he was just kneeling there looking at a pale stammering chick.
I finally got out 'Do ya even have to ask?!'
(I know... how romantic of me *slaps forehead*)
I am one of those people that ruins surprises. I don't like being surprised. But he pulled it off. And he's pulled off several other surprises since we've been together.
He's my match. LOL
