AND...some ppl are just now realizing that our wedding is on a Friday! I guess ppl don't know how to read? I assume that means we should expect more no shows!!

Sometimes...i just don't understand what goes on in ppl's heads!!

I would be sooooo pissed. Like they couldn't have told you sooner?! And hello, did they not look on a calendar and see that it was on a Friday when they were making their plans! Yeesh. So sorry hun, that's a pain but at least it shouldn't really interfere with the big day.

That really sucks...at least they told you ahead of time, I hope no one no shows though, my friend had four people do that to her and we talked to the one couple like two hours before the wedding and they said they were coming. I think sometimes people have no consideration for others.

we had people that attend the cermony and then just left after they told us they would be at the dinner and everything...just left...i don't get some people....do they not realize that we still have to pay for their spot? hopefully your place can give you a bit of a break because you are giving them a few days notice....it never hurts to ask....*hugs* hon

that happened to one of my sisters, she ended up with 5 empty seats, that she found out about the day before. so i invited some of my friends, since the meals were already paid for!

I am so sorry to hear that people did that to you. Just remember, it is the important people that are showing up, and those that no show, well too bad for them for missing out on the party and the big day! Have a blast at your wedding! :)

thanks everyone!! yeah i won't let it get me down, it's not the most important thing, i just know that i would never do that to someone unless it was a major emergency (sickness or something) and I know for a fact in this case it isn't!

You're right though, at least they let us know, but the meals are already paid for!! and it's a little too last minute to invite other ppl. Besides, I would feel kind of bad doing that, they might be offended that they weren't on the "original" guest list!

ah well, people are people, right? I'll have fun no matter what!!!

Advice to those of you that haven't paid yet: when you give your final numbers to the hall underestimate by about one table. if more people show up you can always pay the hall the difference after, but most places will NOT give you refund!!!!
