My Something borrowed, blue, and old

OMG!

Chad and I had dinner at this parents house 2 nights ago. His mom asked me what my borrowed, blue, new, old were. I told her:

New: dress and accessories
Blue: blue garter
Old: ?
Borrowed: ?

So, she said......

I can borrow her grandmother's ring (almost 100 years old). It's borrowed, old, and has a blue sapphiere in it.

I said that I would be honored to wear it on my right hand on my wedding day! It's so beautiful and you can tell it's worn from all of the years. She said that it was her grandmothers' favourite ring and she never took it off...The metal is thinning from all of the years and it is so special.

Borrowed - From FH's mom.. a pin that will go on my garter. It was the first piece of jewellery her hubby gave to her.

Something New: Jewelry
Something Borrowed: didn't have anything
Something Blue: My sister gave me a bracelet that had blue on it just before the wedding.
