Hey everyone, we are new to this whole wedding planning thing as we are the first in both of our families to get married, so we are trying some stuff out, let mw know what you guys think of this whole wedding website thing... I mean is it useful?

Congrats and welcome! Honestly, most of my guests didn't go to the website, but I mostly did it for fun :) If you have a lot of computer literate guests (I didn't), I think its very useful.

The website is easy to use and great for the guests. And you'll be amazed how everyone is so helpful on the forums. I would be lost w/out Wedding Announcer for both our website and the forums!!

Hello and welcome. I agree that many people have not gone to our site, in fact FH has never seen it and has no desire to. Most of the people that visit are on here, facebook, or myspace and check it out. I did it to keep in touch with others that are not involved in the process (such as old friends and coworkers that are not invited to the wedding) and it's an easy way to share pictures if people are so inclined to look. I've asked around to those that are invited and people are like "oh you have a site, is that what that thing on your save the date was?"

hello and welcome....i find it useful, only becuase i have family and friends who LOVE to go on and check out what we have done or what new thing we have added. my dad who hates to be on the computer, gets such a kick out of our wedding website....he loves the idea and is always on our site....:)

hi! oh, yes, it's so useful! With the help of our wedding website we were able to cut costs on invitations. For group invitation, we just gave away one invitation card and then inside them were mini-rsvp card for each of the person in the group. The rsvp card included the name of the person, his/her seat number, and table number. It also included the invitation to visit our website for more details as well as each person's PIN code to be used for the RSVP feature.

Also included in our site was our love story. Our friends and family, even our principal sponsors, were so delighted and blessed with our story. Through it our invited guests became really excited. Right now, most of them are looking forward to our wedding with full anticipation!

So if you have second thoughts regarding the usefulness of this site, i'll bet you it is!

welcome, you will find alot of very friendly people here and some excellent advice from people who have gone through and are going through everything you are. If it wasn't for WA a lot of my family and friends wouldn't have a clue what was happening with our wedding (work causes me to see them less and less every day) but here, they can log on daily, weekly or whatever and via email - they let me know their thoughts - even those overseas! It's fantastic

Congrats!!! You'll love this site! Even if your guests do not visit it often, you'll have alot of fun making the site. Everyone on here is super friendly and are willing to help out with any questions you may have. I've been a member for a few days, and I'm loving it.
