i havent been to many weddings so i'm not sure what is proper here. are you supposed to give a shower gift AND a gift at the wedding or just one or the other?

Nope, if you're invited to both, you're supposed to give at both. Usually, people shop from your registry for the shower, and then give $$ for the wedding!!

only if you are invitied to the shower you have to give them a shower gift. If you are just invited just to the wedding, then just give them a wedding gift

LOL... it's good to see people agree with me, or else I would've been making a BAD decision. Let's pray for LOTS of money gifts at the wedding!!!

Hope the advice helps, but just remember that people always do their own thing!

I'm hoping that we get gifts at the shower, and $$$ at the wedding. But any gift we get will be fine with us!

But usually I do a gift for shower, if I'm invited. And only to one shower if they have multiples not a gift for each shower. And then money or a gift card if they have a lot of stuff left on their registry. But that's just me, and I think it's easier to have to carry envelopes from the wedding.
