Well girls, last night was interesting... The weather here in KC was crazy.. At one point, there were FIVE metro area counties under tornado warnings. We missed all our favorite TV shows last night, lol, but that's not important.

Sirens went off in downtown KC (where we live) which hasn't happened in years, they said. I have NEVER seen wind like what we did last night. I'm not gonna lie, I was freaking out a bit. But we are (and were) definitely safe.

Anyway, 40,000 people are without power and there's a LOT of damaged houses, businesses, etc. in the area, but it missed our house and my in-law's house.

So, send some good thoughts to my peeps here in KC today!!

Thats CRAZY Amanda!!! I wondered where you were last night, LOL!!!! I'm glad to hear that your home wasn't damaged, nor was your in-laws!!!

Hopefully they restore power and can begin clean up for those who were effected, soon!

Thanks, girls.. From what I'm watching on TV today, we got really lucky. Since I'm unemployed right now I am going to try to see if I can help w/ the cleanup effort!

How scary! We had some bad storms here in ia last night to. We had 24 counties under tornado watches! I can see more big black storm clouds moving in now. Its definately scary! But atleast it cooled off. Thats so nice of you to help. Good luck this year, I think were going to get some crazy storms.

I heard about that today. I was hoping that all our WA ladies as well as everyone else was safe and sound. They did say there has been one death. A 15 yr old girl died when a tree fell on her trailer and right on her in her bed room. Sad.

That is very sweet of you to volunteer.
