I have a social work degree and had to take psych courses in college. I work in the field of counseling. Does that count?

All I can suggest is to intern your butt off!!! I volunteered a lot and even volunteered for school credit. I worked at a Methadone Clinic and A center for pregnant teenager. Still can't get anything. The Center for teenage pregnancy, I volunteered for a year. I worked in the nursery, in the emergency center, in the school portion. All over that place adn they won't even hire me for a non case work or counselor job. I don't have enough "experience". If I can't get a job, how do I get the "experience". I was going to get a job with Disney internig as an animal behavioralist. BUT with the price of gas, I coudn't afford to drive an hour each way everyday +tolls. VERY frustrating!

I totally understand you girls. That's why I stick through my job's hard days. People want you to have experience. Luckily I was hired from being an intern or I don't know what I would have done.
