honeymoon: we live about 40 min. from st. louis. we are going to stay there two nights then come home and spend the week at home relaxing. my mom will have serena until probably wednesday or so. then we are going to get her and maybe take her to the magic house or city museum. it's going to be nice to have a week off and just being able to do whatever. not off because of a sick kid, or because being sick or having surgeyr. just a day off. we might go somewhere next year when we did not just spend $$$ on a wedding.
problems you have run in to with your date: the first dj i called was like "you do realize that's the weeknd of the halloween pub crawl right?" then it took him one month to get paperwork when he said he was putting it in the mail that day (mailed from breese going to breese) by that time i had booked a dj that came highly recommended and have been to weddings done by both and the one we got is a lot better. pretty much dj number one rather do the bar scene and instead of staying that he was booked that night or something waited forever to send me info.

ause a lot of our guests will be coming from QLD (state) and we're in NSW (another state) and the Monday the 1st of May is a public holiday in QLD. The day also happens to be my Father's birthday, but we either chose that date or we had it on easter and our Cathedral wouldn't do it on easter. But we've not found any real problems with the date.... My sister is due to give birth on the 11th, but it's her 4th child and she has gone early all three times so far, we think she'll be alright to come!

I know a lot of brides who are planning well in advance have said that vendors don't seem to "interested" so far ahead of time, but we've been lucky not to have this problem so far. We booked our venue and our photographer in May, and both said several times that it was so nice to be working with a couple who was planning well in advance.

I have had so many problems with the date: my good friend who got engaged the same day as us planned her wedding for the same day (we didn't know each other's plans though until we told each other the wedding date- not upset about this one...); FI's good friend from back home KNEW our wedding date and then told us that her wedding could only be the day after ours, in Phoenix, so all of FI's guests will most likely choose to stay in Phoenix for that wedding instead of travelling to ours (and she picked her date before she was even engaged...); another couple we know also have the same date, and then proceeded to ask three of our bridal party members to be in their wedding... only 1 said they'd switch. So, basically, I've had a lot of problems with my date... but I've been able to just put it all aside and not think about it, and focus instead on my wedding!
