Hey ladies,
I'm thinking about the wedding & I don't think I want an aisle runner. I think they're a waste of money...and you guys know how thrifty I have to be for this wedding...even though $20 doesn't sound like alot...I'd rather spend it on something else?
Do you have any other suggestions to put down the aisle instead of an aisle runner?

well, depending on where you're getting married (indoors or outdoors) you can scatter fake rose petals on the floor. Or you can outline your aisle with rose petals...

I was thinking the same thing. If you're having an outdoor wedding you can have the kids/friends gather up a bunch of leaves and flowers around where you're getting married and put those up the aisle.

We're getting married indoors. I was thinking about the rose pedals too but it would be a pain in the butt to pick them up. Hmmm *thinking*

Do you not like the look of the aisle runner?
If you do, but think it's plain you can probably customize yours.
Buy the plain runner & paint on you & your FH names, date, & maybe a nice saying or short poem.
Nothing fancy, you can even use Microsoft Word for your font stencils.

No, I don't have anything against the aisle runner...but I was trying to think of ways to be creative. My brain isn't working today though.
That is a good idea about personalizing it....I'll have to think of something. Thanks for your thoughts girls! :)

Also the isle was stairs to begin with and I had my husband make 14 flower boxes to line them and then I planted them myself......

No I don't think so.... but you have to make sure the church will allow that. Some won't let you have bubbles, rice, confetti etc.

i hate runners too - I have seen SOOOO many brides who have high heels get stuck in the runner and trip
I did flower petals along the sides. Our colors were orange, but every flower in the church was white, except for the petals on the floor and the petals the flowergirl threw

Are your wedding colors red? I can't remember. But I have 3 boxes of fake red petals if you want them.

Nothing, they were given to me and I ended up not needing them cause I changed to purple. Just pm me your address unless it's on the old WA list then I have it. I won't be able to get them out till this weekend though. I just found them last night and I was wondering what to do with them.

we wont be having an aisle runner, but i think the carpet in the church is red anyway (cant reeeeally remember) but i know it already looks lovely and we arent allowed petals/confetti etc.
you could just have pew bows to highlight it. easy to make your self.
