Hi everyone! I'm an early-bird here. My fiance and I are marrying October 20, 2007. I have a collection of ideas on theknot website, but I was looking for a place that's easier to navigate and communicate with others (the knot has that annoying tv and ads that take up 50% of the screen). I'm glad we have so much time because I can already tell planning a NH wedding from all the way down here in VA will be a challenge.

A little about us: We have been a couple for 3.5 years and became engaged on October 1, 2005. We me through a mutual friend who decided to introduce us over IM while I was recovering from an ugly breakup with a boyfriend of 5 years. I had taken some time off from school to refocus, and just as I was about to return to VA my friend told me she knew someone who was moving to DC to work on Capitol Hill. He and I chatted over IM for a few months and eventually met for our fist date in Dupont Circle. Before meeting me he warned me that his voice sounded like a cross between Ben Stein and Kermit the Frog. He wasn't kidding. That first date he serenaded me with "The Rainbow Connection" in Lafayette Park.

I had a pretty good idea where all that would lead us...

The reason we're planning a 2007 wedding is because my fiance will complete law school in May 2007, we'll move in May/June 2007, and he'll take the bar in July 2007. We have very little money to spare while he's in school. One paycheck only takes you so far!

Our ceremony and reception will take place in New Hampshire. It's very likely we will book a place in the Lakes Region -- like Meredith or Wolfeboro. We're planning to visit sites while in NH over the winter holiday. No much more to say, really. I'm hoping to start some kind of planning journal on here soon!
