ok.. i have only been engaged for a couple of months, and i have already had like 4 nightmares about the wedding day!

:eek::eek:

the one i had last night: i dreamt that it was the wedding day, but it was like it was all happening today (our wedding won't be til April 21, 2007)! so, nothing was going right: none of the decorations were right, i didn't have my dress, didn't have time to get my nails/hair done, the centerpieces were ugly, the cake was wrong, hardly anyone showed up, and it was like i was the ONLY one freaking out about anything! i was SO glad when i woke up and realized it was a dream...

does anyone else have nightmares about things going wrong?

:confused:

I think dreams like that are very common with anyone planning a wedding. The bride always stresses about everything being perfect on their big day. I've got less than 6 months until my wedding and I've had similar nightmares off and on for the past year.

I've had dreams where it's the day of the wedding and the invitations were never sent out, I had no flowers, the reception site wasn't decorated, I didn't have anyone scheduled to do my hair and makeup, my veil wasn't pressed, etc. :eek: I assure you that you are not alone! :D

I had wedding nightmares last night too - two of them actually. I've had them a couple times before this, and I'm it'll only get worse, I have nightmares a lot unfortunately. The first one I had really freaked me out because it was so real feeling, the ones tonight were just rediculous . the second one was kind of funny, I seemed to be having a beach wedding and we were all dressed up, but I couldn't remember who the groom was! I kept trying to figure it out while we were all getting ready on the beach, and everytime someone suggested it being one of the men on the beach in a tux (friends of my FH who must have been groomsmen?) I was like no, that can't be him! my real groom was nowhere to be found, but I woke up before I had an 'OMG where's the groom?!' freak-out.

I've only had one so far.

I was getting ready all by myself when a friend I haven't seen since school who was now one of my BM's knocks on the door to say that my sister (who is going to do my make-up) won't be able to come and do my hair and make-up for another hour as she is still at another wedding, even though my wedding was going to start in half an hour! I totally freaked. I was getting ready all by myself.

I must have woke up then because I don't remember anything else. I thought I was the only one. Maybe if we get out everything that can go wrong in our dreams it won't happen for real!!! :p

I had a dream that it was nearly 10am and I didn't have my dress with me and the ceremony was starting at 10:30!

I had one several months ago that was so real but so silly.
The front of the church had a metalic blue streamer curtain (like at prom) strung across the entire front and our soloists would pop out from behind it, sing a verse, and then disapear behind it again. They kept sticking only their heads out. Bazaar, huh?

OMG, last night (or early this morning), I had my first wedding nightmare!!

It was so bad. It was basically like an hour before my wedding day, and NO ONE was around to help me. So, for some reason, I hadn't purchased a bustier and wound up in Target (?!?!?!) ALONE, shopping for a bustier.

As I was trying on bustiers, my Grandma calls from CLEVELAND and she said she's stuck and she can't get on in airplane in time to get to my wedding.

THEN she asks me to hold off the wedding until Sunday. Then another cousin calls and says he can't make it, and I should wait.

UGH! I woke up and was like.. UGH! (I'm totally okay now.. Just wanted to share).

ashley! i'm not laughing at you, but that nightmare made me giggle. I think I'm going to be having a LOT more of those in the next 15 months!
