Where did you buy them, and what do you suggest?

I went to David's Bridal during their $99 sale. I got it over a year before the wedding. I just went to look and see what they had and fell in love with the dress I got. You could also check ebay. I'm an ebay freak lol.

yeah, just be patient you'll find your dream dress, I know it's hard to be patient, I've been planning our wedding for over a year now and am getting very anxious. Is there a certain style you like? I can keep an eye out for you.

you can always check out department stores - white dresses seam to be in right now, so there's some really nice ones. and make sure you hit up the post-prom sales, that's how my mom got her dress!

Mine was a bit over $200 on ebay & that price included shipping & a pair of gloves/armlets...but it's totally not a traditional wedding dress

I don't know how to post a picture here but a photo of it has been in the "gallery" section for a while now. I also put up a picture of my invites before they were finished & a picture of my veil & tiara...although you can't see the tiara very clearly!
I can't believe how soon our weddings are! There's still so much to do!

What an awesome dress!! :DThank you! I'm always happy when people tell me they like it! The teens, young adults & mid-aged people on our guest list all seem to love the idea of our "anti-wedding" but some of our older (seniors) family members think it's something I'm doing to "rebel". Rebel against what? I've never been one to do things the "normal" way! We're having so much fun taking "traditional wedding things & adapting them to suit our strange wedding!

hehe I would imagine that the older people would be more against it than the rest. I think the most important thing is to keep the wedding personal, it should reflect the couple, not some typical magazine thing.
I think my mother would had gone completly bonkers if I picked an all black dress XD

I would also go with David's and Ebay. I'm not sure, but David's $99 sale might be over but you could always check!!

Thanks everybody for your thoughts and input! I really appreciate it! Keep it coming!
I'm not shy...I'll tell you: I'm a size 4, about 5'7". I love off-the-shoulder style dresses. I have no chest, so I don't want anything too revealing. I like ivory, but haven't decided if I prefer it to white or not. And my budget is $200 max! (I'd like it closer to $100.) So keep your eyes out ladies! Whatever advice you can give me, I'd appreciate! ;)
Are you a dress size 4 or pants? It may sound silly (and I didn't know til I tried on my dress), but they usually don't run true to size. I'm 5'5 and usually wear a size 5/6 in pants, but my dress is a 4. I have a very small frame (ie. almost no boobs, small waist, and not much booty) so I'm sure I could have got into a smaller one. Anyways, my point is to be sure you know your dress size before ordering because some e-bayers don't accept returns.
