We just signed up for our registries. I've heard that 3 is the norm, but we're going with 4. We actually only planned on going with 3 (Macy's, BB&B and Target), but one iten I was looking for was $60 at Macy's and $40 at Wal-Mart... so we registered with Wal-Mart too. We thought about foregoing Target for Wal-mart, but we like a lot of Target's stuff... SOOO, we're having 4. Anyways, my point was to ask if any of you have registered at either of these stores & what your experince with them was/is. Thanks for any info! :)

Congrats on starting your registries!! :) Having a few different stores offers you so many options on what to register for, that's for sure. I hope you are able to go to the stores in person, because adding items to your registry with the scanning gun is so much fun!!

FH and I are registered at Target and Macy's. We picked Target because it's great for everyday things, like cooking and baking items, in addition to other good priced things. Other than not being able to view my Target registry online once (as you knew from another thread :p ), everything there has been great. I stopped by the store a few times to make sure the items I registered for online are available in-store.

We chose Macy's because they always have great sales, even if their original prices can be high. Plus, alot of people have coupons from there that makes the price even better! We registered for our bedding and bath items there, in addition to some cooking things. The only thing I don't like about Macy's is that you have a select choice of things that you can register for online. I've noticed that some things I like on Macy's regular website aren't offered in their registry.

Good luck with getting stared!! :)

Do you girls think 4 is too many? Should I cut out one? I wasn't considering Wal-Mart at first, snce I figured I could get anything from there at Target, but when I found that slow cooker for $20 cheaper there... I had to sign up. Plust my Mom works with them and she'll get a discount. I love Target's stuff, so that was a no-brainer. BB&B maybe could get cut... and Macy's is the best, so that one's sticking! :)

Linda~here's info on the merger if don't already have it: http://wedding.weddingchannel.com/help/mwc_may_faq.asp

I think 3 registries would be fine, but it's definitely up to you and 4 would give you so many options.

Cutting out BB&B is a good idea but I've also heard that they have a great return policy. I didn't want to register there because I didn't think that they had good sales. That's great that your mom would have a discount at Wal-Mart!

I don't think 4 is too much at all! We have a few different places that we liked things. We registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond (most stuff was here), Macy's, Target, and Kohl's. We also had to do it this way because we have people all over the States coming, so we had to find stores that were everywhere.

i did 2 but my grandmother said i should register at marshall fields also. so i might do that later.

so far we've got target and BB&B. the only thing i don't like is there is SO much that is not available in the stores and is online only. i'm just afraid that people will only go to the store and not check online. LOL!
