So. . .it is 5:45 a.m. I tried going to sleep around 2:00 a.m. . .laid in bed and stared at the ceiling for about an hour and a half. . .fell asleep around 3:30. . .woke back up around 4:30. Tried falling back asleep, but did not achieve this goal. So, now I'm here at 5:30 a.m. and still awake.

I don't know what is wrong with me. . . I have over a month left. Only thing I can think of is excitement because of hair trial and pre-bridal pics this afternoon. YIKES. . .I don't want to look sleepy in my pics.

So, what are your tips in case this happens again. . .considering it is more than likely to happen a few or more times in the coming month and a half!!!
Especially for night before wedding. I considered taking sleeping pills. . .but then afraid I might get hooked on them and then become dependent upon them. Hmmmmmmmmm. . .

SOOOO. . .
Anyone have any good tips on how to get back asleep?
Anyone have this problem?

Try drinking a glass of red wine. FH used to suffer from insomnia, but didn't want to take sleeping pills. His Dr. suggested drinking a glass of merlot to relax him then he would actually fall asleep.

i read or go to the gym and run....just the thought of going to the gym usually does it for me....
i have to agree with the shot of wine or alcohol though ...it worked for me a long time back when i couldn't sleep .....it never hurts to try it....

i took sleeping pills for a little while, i had major insomnia for about 3 months (and i'm the type of person that needs 8 hours of sleep) I just took uni-som from like walgreens. they are like nyquil without the medicine. if you don't make a habit of it then they are ok to take once in a while.

Try drinking a cup or two of bedtime herbal tea while reading a good book. I have always had major sleep problems and that was one of the few things that worked for me. If you don't like the taste (not that it tastes bad) add just a hint of sugar or honey. It doesn't really taste that good with milk though.
