I bought my dress from there only because the floor model had never been tried on before and I got $200 dollars off (it was brand new). But my Mom bought the wrong bra size ($79) and they refused to exchange it even though I never opened. I saw a veil and tiara there I liked, but when they told me that I checked out Ebay, saved a combined $200 for the items (brand new with tags) and sold the dang bra for $50. Then told them that I would never refer anyone to them again due to their lack of customer service.

I did like the products... but not the prices, and I definitely WILL not be getting my bridesmaid dresses from there (for $20 off each... not much of a deal, I have been offered that other places that I did not even buy my dress from!!!)

I know I wrote this somewhere else, just not a clue where. :)

I had good and bad experience here. I went in there one day on my own just to look around, they had no problem. Then i went there another day with my mom and I tried on a few dresses. The girl I had was great. Then I went other places to try on dresses, couldn't find one that compared to teh first dress I tried on at David's. I went back there again with my mom, my mom's friend, my cousin, and her daughter (the FG). When we walked in they asked who my consultant was before and I told them. Theyt old me she wasn't there that day and gave me another consultant. This woman was a complete b!tch. I had a list of dresses I wanted to try on, including the first one I tried on there before. I gave her the lit, there were probably about 10 dresses. This woman kind of gave me a dirty look b/c there were OMG 10 dresses. She gave me the slip and bra and walked away. Um how in God's name am I supposed to do a hook and eye all the way up the back by my self. I openedt he door and stood there yelling "can I get some help here??" My mom and everyone else was walking around. Finally my mom came and helped me. Then the woman came back with 2 of the dresses and then walked away. I wasn't able to get in them by myself. So again I stood there yelling "ca i get some help here??" My mom came back again and haelped. By this tiem I was getting anooyed b/c this woman wasn't helping me. Needless to say the woman was only helping 2 people, me and another girl. But the other girl was already buying her dress, she was just figuring some stuff out with it, like shoes and assecories. By the end of the time there I was ready to scream at this woman. So was my cousin who was trying to get help from this woman with the FG dresses. But I got the dress I wanted and the veil. She tried coherxing me into buying the tiara too and I was like no way in he!! are we spending $200 on a tiara when it's not even real gold/silver and diamonds. But I found a much prettier one at a cake shop.

I went to a few other David's to try on dresses with my girls and I had great expereiences with them. They even let me try on my dress to show the girls, but when i went back to my original one they gave me a smart ass comments and said "well we don't allow this, but since w'ere nto busy we can." Puh-lease!!!!

Now I get to experience the alterations department in Feb!!

You will have to let me know how this goes! I bought my dress there and loved them, except that my dress has embroidery at the bottom and I am terribly short and wearing my cowboy boots, so I cant just get really tall shoes. We have looked and they say they will have to cut off an inch atleast of the embroidery for it to be right. NO!

I have heard that you cannot get your "complimentary dress steaming" before the big day if you get your alterations done elsewhere. Has anyone else heard this?? Would not surprise me...

I asked about it when I bought my dress, and you can't get the complimentary offers unless they do your alterations. I am going to get the steaming and then I might have it altered by someone else. My dress has embroidery at the bottom and I am 5'3" so they claim they would have to take atleast an inch of the embroidery off. I asked if they could take it up at the waist some how, but they said they can't alter the style of the dress...I get what they are saying, but if I am paying to have it altered I want to keep ALL the embroidery. I am going to find out if they can take an inch from the top. If they can't do that either, I will not have them alter it at all. Other than altering issues, I have had a dream experience with them, but Texas IS the friendly state!!

I do love my dress that I got from them:
http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l202/MarthaA562/My%20Dress%20and%20Accessories/MyDress.jpg in ivory...
and I found the tiara and veil from them off of ebay and saved about 75% of the cost (new with tags!!!):

I just did not want to pay their outrageous prices for their tiaras and veils, loved them, and found them on ebay. Man, I love ebay!!

Yeah David's Bridal only does the work from teh bottom b/c it's cheaper and easier. One dress I looked at had some gorgeous bead work on the bottom and at the dress shop I was at said it would be $250 just to get the dress shortened b/c of all teh beadwork. They do it all from the waist. I thought that was a little absurd when the dress already cost $1600.

I'm shocked!!! I had nothing but a wonderful experience at David's Bridal! The girl who helped me out and sold me my dress was nothing but a sweetheart and so nice. Everyone else that I came across that worked there was nice too, always pleasant whenever I called or went in there to pay on my dress. My BM also bought their dresses from there, and had no problems either.

I guess I'll have to wait until when I bring my dress back in for alterations...

i went there and made an appointment so my mom could go with me, well after waiting for a lady to help me for 45 min, she looks at me and say i only have 5 min to help you. So my lil sis ended up helping me try on dresses, which is a task mind you im 6ft and she is 5'1 lol. then she just brougth out dresses that i hated.

So i dismissed them and went to a local mom and pop shop, where i bougth my dress, davids calls me a few weeks later to say hey that dress you liked (i hated it) is 50bucks off so after me telling the person several times that i had a dress. i fianlly had to yell at her and tell tehm never to call me again

I bought my BM dresses from them and had no problems. I told them I had a Jr BM that I wanted to bring in in the late spring, since she is still growing. They have left me like 4 messages now asking when I want to bring her in. I call back and the girl isn't there, so she probably thinks I am ignoring her, but what else can I do? I have no intentions of having her buy a dress that won't fit come October.
