ESCALATORS!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are too lazy to walk up the escalator; stand to ONE side so the unlazy people can walk by and go about their business!!!!!!!! OMG, when I was still working downtown St. Louis, I had to go through this almost EVERY day!!!
It was SOOOOOOO freakin' annoying!
I hate getting to an escalator and these people are standing right in the middle so that people in a hurry/ or unlazy people can't walk by them!!!
UMMMMMM. . .What else? I'm sure I will think of a few more before the evening is over!

-When the toilet seat is left up
-When someone says they're going to do something and it takes them FOREVER to get it done, or it never gets done
I have so many more, but I can't even think right now

Do you really want to get me started?!?! ;)
From the last thread...
The fashion trend among 15-18 year old girls to hang your pants uber low, resulting in a muffin top.
At the grocery store some little teeny bopper was there with her little boy toy and had her pants so low she was hanging out all over the place. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, she decided to roll the top of her pants down one more notch. The last thing I want to see while grocery shopping is your ass crack, thank you.
The fashion trend among slobby young men to go out in nothing but a white UNDERshirt and jeans - also encountered at the grocery store - in the refrigerated aisle... Despite how dead freaking sexy you think you look Mr. Stud muffin... your large, hard nips are not attractive.
Some new ones...
People who talk on their cell phones at the grocery store, and I mean the entire time, full conversation... maybe you have all day, but I don't. Learn to multi-task, or move out of my way.
People who pay in change (and not a pack of gum) when a coin star is 10 feet away.
Teenagers... at the mall... or bridal shops looking for homecoming dresses... please tell me that wasn't me.
People who pick their nose in traffic.
When one lane of a 2+ lane road is closed and traffic is backed up for miles, yet there are always morons who drive all the way up until the lane ends and try to cut in... then get pissed at me when I don't let them.
People who ride your back end while driving.
People who stare.................

People who got pet peeves...lol...shake it off!!!
LOL. . .
My pet peeve is those people who think pet peeves are stupid. LOL, j/k :D

Pet peeves causes stress and stress causes lines ladies!!!!!!
Yeah, well my stress only lasts a few minutes. . .then I'm over it. hehe
Reminds me of my grandma. . .she doesn't stress about ANYTHING!!!!
I wish I could be that unstressful! hehe

pet peeves and something that ruins your day are two completely different things. I can't speak for anyone else, but someone's muffin top isn't going to cause me stress lines... but I'll be damned if I don't comment on it :)
And anyone who claims they never get annoyed with random bs... is lying :p

ok, when people constantly click the pens- click.click.click...
and when you sit on a bench with someone and they do the leg-shake or whatever it is. and then the whole bench shakes. i used to yell at people in highschool at the liunch tables!!!

My biggest pet peeve is when I am talking to someone and they do not respond or look at me while I am talking to them.

When I'm cashing people's paychecks or doing a transaction for a customer at work and they are on their cell phone the entire time and act like I'm inconviencing them. Yeah, that's really annoying.

Sooooo. . .you are one of "THOSE", are you????
hahaha
I was thinking of another one. . .those people that see that you are waiting for a spot to park (yours for instance) and they take their time, talk on their phones, dilly daddle around, and don't get the heck out of the way.
OKAY. . .YOU don't need the spot anymore. . .so get the he!! out of the way for the people that do need a parking spot!!!!!! GEEEEEEEZ
LOL
Really, that does kind of erk me!!!!!!!

Okay. . .so here is my other one. . .
People who can't distinguish between your and you're!!!!!!
When you type "You're Welcome". . .it is you saying "YOU ARE welcome" as a contraction of You and Are. . .not "YOUR welcome". . .it is not a possession!!!!
It just isn't that one either. . .It is any time you are using your and you're.
Like when people type "Your going to the mall?" It is "You're going to the mall?" You aren't in possession of going to the mall. . .it is you saying: you are going to the mall question mark.
You're and Your. . .please get them right!!!!!!! hehe
This has been a pet peeve of mine for a VERY VERY VERY long time!

If that really bothers you Trisha...then you got issues! LOL! Your the best! hehe :p
I don't know why that bothers me. . .it just does. hehe
You know, there are things that you just can't help. . . your right!!! hehehe
Actually, that should be YOU'RE right!!!! LOL
Jacoby2Seelen
10-17-2005, 01:48 AM
Trisha, a lot of people make that grammatical error all the time! Do you think we should start correcting them and become their pet peeve? LOL!
YES. . as a matter of fact, I should!!!!!!!
It would be like me sitting here typing questions like
Do yew think we shuld go to the mal at aight or at sevin?
hehehe LMAO. I'm cracking myself up. LOL
Okay, I'm done. . .sorry. . . I was just answering that AWESOME person's post about pet peeves!!! HEY, at least I'm honest, and don't ACT LIKE there arne't things that bother me. LMAO. :P
hehehehehehehe

Hey...when someone gets on your nerves get on theirs. That's what I do. :D
And to let things bother you to the point where you get all bent out of shape is so not worth it. For example, I'm in the market and the cashier must have had a bad day because she's scanning and throwing my stuff all rough and stuff. Instead of getting mad I told her I'd give her a little advice, if she doesn't like her job then she should get a new. I know it pissed her off, but it made me feel good. :D
I know, I really don't let things bother me that much. . .I usually just laugh it off. TRUST ME. . .when I was younger, and was getting lectured or disciplined (which wasn't often, since I was and still am an ANGEL. . hehe) I would just laugh . . hehe When FH and I get in some kind of argument (which isn't often either, cuz I'm an Angel, hehe). . .I just laugh it off!!!
If you know me well. . .hardly anything bothers me to a point where I get MAD!!!! :)

Saw this and just had to post. I don't know why but I have this thing. I hate it when people call Miracle Whip mayo. It is not mayo. Mayo is mayo. On a Miracle Whip jar it is labeled as salad dressing...not mayo. Sorry I was thinking of this earlier when I saw a big ole jar of Miracle Whip (Bruce's) in the fridge and I was out of mayonaise.

-People who use those damn walkie-talkie phones
-Slow drivers
-Bad drivers
-People with selective hearing
-When I clean the house and FH comes home and throws stuff everywhere
-When it rains right after I wash my car
-Crying children in public
-Misbehaved children
-When you go to a restuarant and the hostess sits someone RIGHT next to you, even though the whole restuarant is pretty much empty
Ok so I have a lot of pet-peeves...what can I say? Somethings have to be perfect for me! LOL!

Wait until you have your own children...lol
I can tell you one thing....I won't let them sit there and throw a fit in the store or restuarant and do nothing like a TON of parents do....can't stand it!

Oh! Why have I not seen this thread before?! I have some to add to the list!
CATEGORY: Driving
-people driving 30 on the highway in the far LEFT lane
-people that can't figure out how a four way stop works
-people that wait until the last minute to merge
-people whose rear turning signals don't work and they get pissed at you for not letting them over (but how were you supposed to know they even wanted over?!)
-people who don't use turning signals when they really should
-people who can't drive at a consistent speed... or worse, speed up so you can't get by, but slow down once you're behind them
-people that cut you off only to slow you down (I don't get bothered when people cut me off and they drive faster than me... I hate being slowed down for no reason at all)
-people that turn into the farthest right lane instead of staying to the left
-people that don't go when the light turns green
-people that don't stop when the light turns red
-all MIAMI drivers... period. They suck.
CATEGORY: Customer Service
-people that are on their cell phones while they are supposed to be working and ringing you up or helping you find something
-people that give you an attitude while on the job, as if they are doing you a favor by ringing you up and taking your money
-being on hold for 20 minutes and then getting hung up on
-being lied to because the person was too lazy to get the right answer for you (I had a really bad experience with the people at Banfield (the vets)... I asked them if they had insulin in stock and the girl on the phone said yes... I drive in rush hour traffic to get there only to find out that they didn't have any... she didn't even check! GRRR!)
CATEGORY: General
-people that don't know me talking to me in Spanish... don't assume that I speak Spanish. Once or twice I wouldn't care, but EVERY DAY?! I'm as GRINGO as they come! Sheesh.
-people that know you don't speak Spanish (or whatever language) fluently, and still decide to carry on a conversation with each other in Spanish and leaving you out completely
-not being able to get a lot of jobs because I don't speak Spanish... I can understand why it's necessary in some cases, but I shouldn't lose the job opportunity because I don't speak Spanish to someone who doesn't speak English.
Sorry for such a long rant! I promise I never used the be this way before... MIAMI does bad things to good people! :)

people & life are my biggest pet peeves. i think that catches all categories.
katie- you & i are both destined to have horrible children who act up. i can't stand sticky hands touching me or screaming children. if i wanted to be near screaming children - i would have had my own already!
