Gift from my mommy.

FH and I were planning the wedding by ourselves. I know my mom plans to help I just don't know to what extent. She already bought me my wedding dress and veil, the flower girl dresses and MOH dress. She's also planning a brunch at a nice restaurant etc.. While we were shopping at a department store for BM gifts the other day, I saw her writing a check. I didn't pay much attention thinking she bought something and was paying by check (which was weird because she always paid by credit card). After I paid for my purchase she handed me the check. I was so shocked because it was payable to me for $10K . Then she said, "I know your expenses are all coming up so I thought I'd go ahead and give this to you." She's the best mommy in the world , not just because she's so generous, but because she's always been there when I need her.

Awwww!! That was so sweet of her!! My mom did somewhat the same thing the other day. She told me that she and my dad would pay for the reception, and then Tim's mom said they would pay for the rest Talk about generous!!

Seriously!! But I've actually guilted my mom into cutting some people out. She should anyways. I told her 50 from her, and how many do I get? 78!!!! That put us up to almost 140 and we only wanted 110 at most! Yeah, we're now down to 80-something

Thanks Ladies. Yeah she's great. I guess that would cover mostly the reception . BTW, Ewa that's one sweet car.

That's awesome. It's always nice to have extra $$ to help cover wedding costs.

Thanks...we both love the car and are just dealing with insurance, paperwork, etc today.
