Have you ever had the urge...?

I'm taking this from Anschuier (sp?) post a while back.

We registered and I keep wanting to check to see what was bought for us. LOL THe shower invites are out, so I know people will start buying stuff, but is it really that bad to look??

I mean I know even if I see that we're getting something, I won't know who it's from until the shower day.

Has anyone else ever had the urge to look at the regsitry to see what people are buying them?? LOL

I only ask b/c I did the same thing she did and I was adding two things to our regsitry (who forgets a can opener on their registry?? Only me. LOL) and I saw that two things were bought already.

I think we have all gone through this. I know I did when I was planning our wedding.

Yeah it was hard. The first time we tried to register he was the crabbiet person and didn't care what we registered for. I'd ask about a bedding set, his reply was "yeah I don't care." That's never good. LOL But fter about 10 trips to the stores we finally registered. We did it in mini trips b/c he became overwhelmed with all the stuff we needed to register for. The best time to go is at night.

Both Jeff and I looked at the registry, several times a day. Especially when it gets closer to your shower/wedding, you'll want to make sure there are still things left on your registry. And really, just because you know someone got you your crock pot or can opener, you don't know WHO. The clever baskets of kitchen gadgets that some people come up with are also surprising and fun, and you'd never know about it from the registry. There is nothing wrong with peeking

It's funny you say crock pot b/c that's one of the 2 things that have already been bought. LOL I keep thinking it's my mom that bought it b/c the day people started getting their invites was the day it got bought. So either she bought it, or someone RAN out the door the minute they got their invite. Who knows.

Oh and speaking of clever ideas, my mom told me what my (deceased) aunt did to my mom for her shower was hilarious. She took a garbage can, put a mop in it standing up, so it looked like it was a head of hair. Tied a apron around the garbage can. The arms were wooden spoons. Her "hat" was a collander. Her feet were measuring cups. It was pretty funny. The photo made me laugh hysterically. Where do people get these ideas?

If Sam & I registered somewhere I know that I would want to peek & see what had been purchased However, I don't have that worry, we will be getting monetary gifts only
