Unhappy Uh oh!!! Pooooor Mom!!!!!!

So some JERKS robbed my mother's store EARLY Saturday morning! (Some of you already know that she owns a cake store).
Anyway. . . . .
This was her last weekend to work too. . .she was going to go to work Saturday, deliver the two wedding cakes that she had to, and then head to the town where my cousin's wedding was, (with their cake). . .then was supposed to be off until after my wedding! So, she goes into the shop, and walks up to the back door to find the window busted out. So instead of her going in, she just called the police. Then when they got there, they went in. The JERKS wripped out her whole cash register. She lost at least $3000.00. Well, the brick that they used to bash the window out was about __________________ that close to my cousin's wedding cake. The only fortunate thing was, with them having to run/walk by the wedding cakes to get from the back door to the cash register and then back again, they didn't touch one of them, just took the register and left. So at least she didn't have to ruin her whole day by redoing the cakes that she had to deliver that morning!!! But it still really sucks bad. . .It was some money that she was saving up for my wedding!

POOOOOOOOOOR MOM. . .
She was SOOOOO upset!!!!!!

awww I'm so sorry to hear that!!!! Maybe the police can find out who did it...fingerprints or whatever they do for their detective work!! It's great to hear they didn't touch your cousins wedding cake, that really would've been bad.
wth would someone want to break into a cake shop...lol

No. . .Pam and I used to work together. . .we were really close for a while, then drifted aparty for a while. . .now we are talking all the time again. I was really upset that I couldn't go to her wedding too. I found out that my cousin's wedding was the same day as Pam's just a few weeks after Pam set her date. I was like, "guess what, I don't get to come to your wedding."

I'm sure she didn't miss me anyway. . .she looked like she was having too much fun, and I'm sure there were other things on her mind. hehe

So sorry for what happened to your mom's store, Trisha! I will never understand why people do those types of things. I hope that the police are able to hunt them down soon. Does your mom's business insurance cover loss from theft?

Yeah. . .my mom was asking my uncles Saturday. . ."Okay, so what do I do now. . .so this doesn't happen again?" Well, ONE good thing about it. They did get some cash, but MOST of the money that they got from my mom were checks that brides had wrote to pay for their cakes and/or their cake supply deposit. SOOOO, they really didn't get $3,000.00 cash. . .that is just how much my mom lost, because of it being checks. She has no way of knowing who those checks were from. . .well some of them, but not all of them.

She is thinking about writing a letter to her brides from the past few weeks (assuming that is who most of the checks were from) to explain what happened, and see if they might void out the other check and write her a new one. She is even going to offer to pay for the "caneled check fee" for them. So, hopefully she had some really cooperative brides the past few weeks!

SOOOOOOOOOO. . .now my question is. Put yourself in those brides' shoes. If you got this letter from a vendor explaining what I explained to you, about the break in and stuff, would you cooperate? Since she is going to offer to pay for the canceled check fee.. . . ??????
