Europe!?!

Well, FH and I have decided that we definetly do not want to just sit on a beach for our honeymoon (although we love to normally...how funny). So we've decided we're definetly going to Europe. What we're deciding now is where and how. We've thought of flying to say Italy and cruising from there and then stopping in a few more places once our cruise is over (like this one http://www.costacruise.com/B2C/USA/S...h/CruiseDetail.
htm?&Period=200605&DepPort=SVN&VIti=EU_10_C_S_C_AL Y_LMS_RHO_ATH_
KAT_SVN_NAP). OR just flying over to Europe and getting a Europass (I don't know what it's really called) and taking the train/buses everywhere. We haven't figured out the best way for us to do it yet, and we do have a while to plan thankfully. We're planning on going in early summer of '07 (our wedding will be Jan 1st and then we're back out of school in the beginning of May so we'll leave after that). Does anyone have any ideas/tips/suggestions for us? Thanks!!
Lauren

You might find this useful....

http://www.interrailnet.com

You can buy a pass for a certain time period and use it all over Europe...lot's of people do this in the UK in a gap year or when they finish uni.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for all of the replies guys! I'm definitely going to check out all of those websites

We're going to go to Tahoe (about a 3.5 hour drive from where we live) for our mini/pre honeymoon the morning after we get married. I think it'll be perfect because we'll have snow and the whole thing.

For Europe, we have no idea how to settle on a certain number of places- we want to see everything and we don't know when we'll get a chance like this again. I don't want to be completely "backpacking" because I want it to feel like a honeymoon too, ya know?

I feel like I'm getting a little overwhelmed with so much planning but it's all worth it in the end

Lauren

That's what I think we'll end up doing but it's so hard to choose which country!
