Lets get to know each other a little:
Hope this belongs here--just want to get people to post more:
Your name: Pam
Fiance's name: Ryan
Big day: 10/29/05
Live in: Illinois-just east of St. Louis
wedding in: same place, I could not imagine what long distance brides must go through. this is hard and the wedding is right here.
colors: Espresso (chocolate) dresses for the bridesmaids, harvest gold for the usherette, white/silver for me, white for flower girl, white or silver vest for him, not sure on the vests for the groomsman and fathers. depending on the actual colors of the vests we are going to do champagne for one, gold for the other.
type of wedding: catholic ceremony in our church with reception following at the KC hall in our town. a normal clinton county wedding
how many attendants: 9 total then us. we have a matron of honor, best man, 2 bridesmaids, 2 groosman, 1 usherette and 1 usher
how long have you known each other: known each other since 98, started dating in 2000.
honeymoon: we live about 40 min. from st. louis. we are going to stay there two nights then come home and spend the week at home relaxing. my mom will have serena until probably wednesday or so. then we are going to get her and maybe take her to the magic house or city museum. it's going to be nice to have a week off and just being able to do whatever. not off because of a sick kid, or because being sick or having surgeyr. just a day off. we might go somewhere next year when we did not just spend $$$ on a wedding.
problems you have run in to with your date: the first dj i called was like "you do realize that's the weeknd of the halloween pub crawl right?" then it took him one month to get paperwork when he said he was putting it in the mail that day (mailed from breese going to breese) by that time i had booked a dj that came highly recommended and have been to weddings done by both and the one we got is a lot better. pretty much dj number one rather do the bar scene and instead of staying that he was booked that night or something waited forever to send me info.
Okay ladies (and gents) share your info!

Live in: Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada
wedding in: Niagara Falls - just 20 min away from home...reception at a gorgeous hall about 20 min from little church

type of wedding: Non-denominational.
how many attendants: 6 in total plus us. We've got a 2 maids of honour, 2 bestmen, 1 bridesmaid and 1 groomsman. And depending of if my little cousins make it from Nova Scotia, then 2 little ushers/usherettes
how long have you known each other: We've known eachother since i was 12-years-old and Jeffery was 13-years-old. We started dating in 2000
honeymoon: My dad is planning the honeymoon for us so it will be a huge surprise! I can't wait
problems you have run in to with your date: Well, originally we wanted June 3rd, 2006, but the reception hall we wanted only had the 24th available so we changed our minds. It's ok this way so we have 3 more weeks to plan our fun. We've been really lucky for the rest so far. I booked my DJ in February and he's actually a friend of a friend so I'm getting a deal. I can't complain....Yet

Your name: Chantel
Fiance's name: Brendon
Big day: 29th April 2006
Live in & Wedding in: Grafton, New South Wales Australia
Colours:Blue & White, we don't really have a theme.. Just Royal Blue & White!
Type of wedding: Traditional, We only plan on getting married once (doesn't everyone!) so we thought we'd have a big traditional wedding (although after all the planning, if there is a next time I think we'll ELOPE!)
How many attendants: 6 total, we're having 1 Maid-of-honour & 1 Best Man, then 2 Bridesmaids & 2 Groomsmen
How long have you known each other: We met & started dating (internet blind date!) 22nd December 2002 so as of todays date we've been together 2 Years 8 Months & 18 Days
Honeymoon: I believe we are going Island Hopping on the Great Barrier Reef, we'll probably drive up (2 days) then spend time on each Island and maybe charter a yacht.. Spontaneous and Fun is the whole idea!
Problems you have run in to with your date: We actually chose the date bec
ause a lot of our guests will be coming from QLD (state) and we're in NSW (another state) and the Monday the 1st of May is a public holiday in QLD. The day also happens to be my Father's birthday, but we either chose that date or we had it on easter and our Cathedral wouldn't do it on easter. But we've not found any real problems with the date.... My sister is due to give birth on the 11th, but it's her 4th child and she has gone early all three times so far, we think she'll be alright to come!
