It's good to know your dress fitting is so close to your wedding date, too! I was worrying that September 18th was too close to my wedding date, so I'm relieved to know I'm not the only one having my dress fitted less than a month before the wedding!

i was a little nervous about that (having fitting so close). have you seen yours? i actually haven't seen my dress so i am a bit nervous. i ordered it back in february (tried on in the wrong size) then it never came in in time when i was home in july. so 3 weeks before is what i get. in a way it's almost better. no stressing about fittings. it's more like we ordered a dress, they will fix whatever we need. it is what it is at that point!

I'm sure you'll have your dress fitted in plenty of time, especially since it wasn't your fault that your dress came in late...I'm sure they'll work extra-hard to make sure it's fitted quickly! I have tried on my actual dress...I know it needs to be hemmed, bustled, and taken in at the bodice, plus I want the seamstress to install some extra-padded boob cups! I'm hoping she can do it all in one fitting, since the dress shop is an hour from my apartment and since I don't have a car, I have to rely on other people (mainly FH and FMIL) to take me! It stinks.

Has your dress come in since July, and you just haven't had a chance to go out to try it on? I know that must be INCREDIBLY difficult when you're on the other coastline (and here I'm complaining because I'm one state away!)

my family is in north nj (bergen county) so we are getting married there. where is your dress shop? you are obviously close to the state border i assume.

Yes, but I'm close to southern NJ...FH's family is from Clementon (Cherry Hill area) and the dress shop is in Haddonfield, near them.. I went to a wedding in Highland Park, NJ, before, which is probably a bit closer to you.
